The White Hart in Crawley is a very
busy pub in the High Street.
The pub has 2 bar areas, a separate restaurant and a beer garden.
There is extensive room in the 2 bar areas which are situated at the
front of the pub. The pub has a pool table and Sky television as
well as hosting live music on Sunday nights and occasional Quiz
Nights. Currently there is also a Happy Hour between 5 and 6pm on
Monday to Wednesday evenings.
At the back of the pub is a comfortable separate restaurant which
caters for 20 people seated, food is served between 12am and 3pm,
Monday to Saturdays. It is available for Private Hire and buffets
can be catered for, the restaurant is a No Smoking Area.
Finally there is a courtyard with many benches to the rear of the
pub which proves popular during the
Summer months.
Food lunchtimes until 4.00pm, filled rolls on the back bar
otherwise. Separate non-smoking dining room. Open at 10.00 am on
market days (Fri/Sat). Occasional live music of the folky kind on
Sunday nights. Pool table. Beer garden at rear.
From the 18th century this was a busy post and coaching inn, and Crawleyâs first post office was in the present saloon bar. The ground behind the White Hart hosted a weekly market from the 1800s until the First World War.
